Garry Mills trained and qualified as a solicitor in 1994 at Eversheds. He joined the Intellectual Property Department of the international law firm Clifford Chance in 1995 where he spent over 14 years, before joining Innovate Legal as Head of Trade Marks and Brands in December 2009.
Garry is an intellectual property specialist with extensive experience in contentious and non-contentious work with a strong focus on brand protection and enforcement – in particular trade marks, passing off, copyright and designs and internet domain names, as well as breach of contract disputes. He also has considerable experience of advising on the intellectual property aspects of significant corporate transactions.
He has acted for clients in proceedings before the High Court of England and Wales, the UK Intellectual Property Office, the General Court (previously the Court of First Instance) and the Court of Justice of the European Union. He regularly contributes articles and speaks on IP matters. |
